REBV
REBV is a minimal apartment located in Paris, France, designed by Alors Studio. Upon entering the property, one is greeted by an open-plan living room and kitchen. These spaces benefit from a generous view of the quaint courtyard, framed elegantly by a recently installed wooden façade. The warm hue and grain of the wood imbue the room with a relaxed yet refined ambience, setting the tone for the rest of the property. Venturing further into the dwelling reveals its secondary quarters, ingeniously reimagined as a Mediterranean grotto. This area is home to a suite, bedroom, and bathroom, all of which carry an architectural language of arches and curves.
The design theme pays homage to the tranquility and warmth associated with Mediterranean living and adds a unique character to the property. An intriguing aspect of the design lies in the meticulous attention given to the walls. They are treated as one continuous sculpture, boasting a textured coat applied on niches and varying wall deformations. This artistic touch elevates the property’s aesthetic charm while preserving a sense of spatial continuity. In a sophisticated contrast to the sculptural walls, the woodwork, mirrors, and stainless-steel features are characterized by their sharpness and regularity. Their precision acts as a counterbalance to the wall’s fluidity, creating an engaging interplay of elements that contributes to the property’s minimalist aesthetic.
