India may purchase 26 Rafale fighter aircraft and three Scorpene class submarines from France, according to government sources. The deals, worth INR 90,000 crore ($13.3billion), are expected to be announced during Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s, visit to France. The Indian Navy requires the defence capabilities at a time when it is facing security shortages.
