I’m midsize with a belly – I spent all my teenage years hating my body but I don’t want to live in a hole anymore
A MIDSIZE woman said she is tired of feeling ashamed of her body and is ready to move on.
She’s learning to embrace her figure – full belly and all – and wants to inspire others to do the same.
Ellie Malley (@elliemalley) is a TikToker who practices self-love and promotes body positivity online.
In one clip, she said she’s done hiding her beauty and is learning to accept herself for who she is.
“I’ve spent all my teenage years hating my body,” she began.
Posing in a crop top and low-rise sweatpants, she rubbed her full belly while looking disappointed in the way she used to treat herself.
When the audio then said, “I don’t want to live in a hole anymore,” however, she pulled up her sweatpants and yelled along to the words, proving that she’s done being ashamed of the fact that she’s not thin and ready to put herself out there.
Still, she knows it’s a long road towards true self love – and she’s working on it.
“If you’re learning to accept your body, let’s be friends,” she wrote in the caption alongside the hashtags #bodylove and #bodypositivity.
Viewers said they were in the same boat as Ellie and thanked her for her honesty.
“I’m learning too!” one person commented.
“My teenage years are almost over and this is all I’ve done,” added another.
“I hope to be like you when I’m older,” a third gushed.
And others shared words of encouragement: “I love your account so much,” one wrote, with another echoing, “Your body is beautiful!”
