Sunil Gavaskar Reveals Why Indian Cricketers Are Not Great Friends Anymore
India legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar opened up on team India’s dressing room rumors which are currently floating all over the cricket fans that the players are not getting gel along with each other.
This all started when Ravichandran Ashwin missed the place in India’s playing XI for the recently concluded ICC World Test Championship Final 2023 where Australia beat India by 209 runs.
After India’s loss Ashwin opened up and said that earlier there used to be friends in the dressing room, now there are only colleagues.
Now, Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar reckoned that getting separate rooms could be the reason for India’s dressing room’s saga.
“Something happened 20 years ago that could be the reason. 20 years ago, players started getting separate rooms. Getting a single room can also be a reason for not being with the players.”
Gavaskar also said that the team must be together after the game is over.
“It is very sad. You must be together after the game is over. You should not talk about sports, but you should talk about music, movies or those things in which you are interested. If this is not happening then it is disappointing.”
Team India is currently in Dominica and preparing for the upcoming Test series which will start from July 12. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be in the spotlight as both the players are currently struggling in the longest format of the game.
