A government primary school teacher in Kalaburagi district has been accused of hiring a woman to teach his class for a fee of Rs 6,000 a month. Identified as Mahendrakumar, he would only attend the school twice a week to sign the attendance register, leaving parents disappointed. Mahendrakumar has cited health issues for taking time off and hired a replacement teacher after complaints from parents.
