Stolen wallet leads to multiple death threats
July 3
Overnight in the 200 block of Hollis Avenue: A 2014 Hyundai Elantra was stolen and later recovered at Virginia and Budd.
3:37 a.m. in the 300 block of North Central Avenue: Someone cut the lock to a garage and took a safe.
Overnight in the 200 block of Hollis Avenue: Someone attempted to steal a 2016 Ford Fiesta but left it with a punched ignition.
9:31 a.m. in the 400 block of Memphis Drive: A man, 19, punched his girlfriend several times during an argument, grabbed her and pulled her back into the car. He threated to kill her and took her phone away to prevent her from reporting the domestic violence
Overnight in the 2100 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone slashed all four tires on the victim’s car.
3:46 p.m. at Campbell Avenue and Third Street: A man, 34, was causing a disturbance and was under the influence. He also had suspected Fentanyl.
6:50 p.m. in the 00 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Two suspects entered a business and stole two purses.
8:50 p.m. at highways 17 and 280: Officers located a 1996 Chevrolet pick-up that was reported stolen out of San Jose in August 2022. The driver claimed he had just purchased the vehicle, which was verified. It turned out that the registered owner didn’t notify police about the vehicle’s recovery.
12:44 p.m. at Creekside and Highway 17: A man, 35, punched his Uber driver numerous times for no apparent reason.
2:18 a.m. in the 600 block of Virginia Avenue: A man, 49, was driving when he sideswiped a parked vehicle and failed to stop. Officer witnessed the collision and stopped the driver, who was found to be DUI and was arrested.
July 4
8:42 a.m. in the 00 block of Dillion Avenue: A man, 35, was seen jumping over the fence. He then checked door handles on cars. He had a meth pipe and was under the influence.
7:36 p.m. at San Tomas Aquino Road and Villarita Drive: An electric Razor scooter was stolen.
9:46 p.m. at Sunnyoaks Avenue and Robin Lane: A man, 36, was stopped for a traffic violation. He was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Almarida Drive: Someone was walking around inside a complex. At one point, the suspect walked behind the victim as she entered her apartment.
10:53 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 28, left a smoldering caulk tube. He was in possession of drug paraphernalia and under the influence of a stimulant.
July 5
7:06 p.m. in the 100 block of Michael Drive: A man, 43, was evicted from an apartment a year ago. He claimed he was trying to retrieve his mail and attempted to pry open a mailbox and make entry into his old apartment with several keys that did not work.
7:21 p.m. in the 600 block of Creekside Way: A man, 53, was reportedly beating his dog with a stick. He was intoxicated and refused to obey lawful commands to exit his vehicle. His dog had visible injuries.
2:10 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Three suspects forced entry into a business and fled with merchandise.
July 6
Overnight in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone accessed an external key lock to obtain the key to a business. Once inside, they ransacked the business and stole a safe containing money.
Overnight in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: Someone broke several branches off of trees near the south side of a park.
7 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone accessed an external key lock to obtain the key to a business. Once inside, the suspect stole several items.
2:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Parr Avenue: A 17-year-old stole a wallet and fled to his apartment complex. The victim gave chase and was confronted by the suspect’s brother, 19, who said he was going to kill him if he touched his brother and displayed a replica firearm that was concealed in his waistband. A man, 29, took the replica firearm from him. The victim approached the man while he was seated in his vehicle. The man told the victim that he would kill him if he touched his car, then drove around the corner and discarded the replica firearm in a bush. The replica firearm was retrieved by police. The victim’s wallet was located and returned.
8:47 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 41, was causing a disturbance and is a convicted felon. He was in possession of fentanyl and pepper spray.
11:36 p.m. at West Campbell Avenue and San Tomas Expressway: A driver, 34, collided with another vehicle and was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver of the other vehicle wanted prosecution.
3:04 a.m. in the 200 block of Cristich Lane: A suspect, 45, arrived in a stolen 2017 Honda Accord while the victim was inside. The suspect had a felony warrant and was in possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, cocaine and a shaved key.
5:24 a.m. in the 500 block of West Rincon Avenue: A man, 38, and a juvenile, 16, were in the area of a burglary. The juvenile was in possession of burglary tools. The man fled from officers and jumped fences. He dropped his backpack, which contained burglary tools.
July 7
600 block of West Campbell Avenue: A man, 50, was seen spray-painting graffiti in red paint on the pillars of Campbell Park. A witness said he had seen him vandalize the park on two other occasions. The man admitted to the vandalisms.
5:06 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A transient man, 54, was reported to be in the bushes near a business. He was found to be too intoxicated to care for his safety and had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
7:09 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: The suspect was defecating on a bridge and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He had fentanyl and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
12:15 p.m. in the 300 block of East Campbell Avenue: During a fight, a man, 24, struck the victim, who wanted prosecution. The man was too intoxicated to care for himself.
2:38 a.m. in the 900 block of Ravencourt Avenue: Immediately after being released from jail, the suspect went to a residence in violation of a served emergency protective restraining order.
4 a.m. in the 100 block of East Rincon Avenue: Two suspects attempted to steal the catalytic converter from a vehicle. The victim interrupted the suspects, who fled.
July 8
11:03 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone placed a credit card skimmer on a point-of-sale device at the front counter of a business. No victims had been identified.
5:21 p.m. in the 800 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A woman, 56, was witnessed chasing, grabbing, pushing and choking the victim while forcing them into a vehicle. While leaving the parking lot, she collided into a parked vehicle and then fled. Officers arrived and initiated a vehicle stop; the suspect stopped and then fled. She was contacted and found to be DUI. The victim was transported to the hospital for her injuries sustained during the attack.
11:35 p.m. at Foote Street and East Campbell Avenue: During a physical altercation, the suspect struck the victim several times in the face, causing possible facial fractures. The victim was intoxicated and had a difficult time remembering details of the event.
11:49 p.m. in the 200 block of Wilton Drive: The suspect attempted to stab the victim several times with a machete. The suspect threatened to harm her over text messages and to come back after police were gone. When the officers approached the suspect, he fled on foot but was caught shortly after. He was also booked for a burglary he committed that morning.
July 9
6:50 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Bascom Avenue: A purse was stolen from a locked vehicle.
Overnight in the 800 block of Connie Drive: Someone broke the window to a Kia and damaged the ignition.
Overnight in the 600 block of Nello Drive: A Toyota was stolen.
Overnight in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue: Someone attempted to steal a Kia by breaking into the car and damaging the ignition.
1:23 a.m. in the 600 block of Virginia Avenue: Someone took a package of shirts off of the victim’s porch and was captured on video.
9:36 p.m. in the 600 block of Lisa Way: A man and a woman both said a man, 58, shoved them during an argument. Neither victim was injured.
