Video of Harry Giles’s Private Workout Have Fans Calling for a Comeback

The NBA career of Harry Giles thus far may have been shorter than most expected, but the former first-round pick in the 2017 NBA draft appears to be more than ready for a comeback opportunity.

It was first revealed Giles would hold a private workout for NBA teams in Las Vegas on Monday during the 2023 NBA Summer League by Turner Sports’ Chris Haynes. Following the workout, there hasn't been a ton of chatter yet surrounding potential interest, but on Tuesday, Haynes released the footage of Giles's workout, and it was impressive, to say the least.

Giles, who's only 25 currently, showcased a wide-range of skills he put on display while at Duke and at times during his short NBA career, which has spanned three years with two different teams so far. Needless to say, fans were hopping aboard the bandwagon quickly in an effort to call for Giles to get another shot in the league, as many walked away impressed with the video.

Giles was drafted by the Kings with the No. 20 pick in 2017 and played in 58 games as a rookie, averaging 14.1 minutes, 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and shooting 50.3% from the field. He essentially replicated those numbers in year two while in Sacramento at a slightly more effective rate, shooting 55.4% and averaging 6.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 14.5 minutes per game while drawing 17 starts over 46 appearances.

Giles’s most recent stop in his NBA career to this point was with the Trail Blazers in 2020–21, where he saw very little floor time (9.2 minutes per game) and averaged just 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
