Mum bags posh pram scanning at £60 off at Aldi – but judgy trolls come at her as neglectful and lazy
A SAVVY shopper has shared the bargain pram deal she found in Aldi but judgy parents seem to have a problem with it.
Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK, she shared her find.
She said: “The Doona has now been reduced. Thought this was a good price.”
The mum added: “I purchased this one from [Aldi]Dudley branch.”
The £339 Doona car seat has proved popular with many mums notably including new mum Molly Mae.
Now their adaptive stroller is selling for an even better price.
The post racked up over 450 comments in just a few hours and over 300 likes.
But despite the bargain many Facebook users were trolling the savvy shopper expressing doubts about the pram.
One user said: “ Not good at all. Why not just put your newborn in a lie flat buggy? The amount of people who use these and leave their baby in them all day not good. OK for a quick in and out supermarket but nothing more. It comes down to laziness.”
“I heard these didn’t pass safety regulations or up to standard at least,” claimed another.
A third viewer said: “They’ve been reduced cos no one is buying them cos they are unsafe.”
“These are awfully tested & offer a chin to chest fit,” argued a fourth.

The trolling got so bad that the savvy shopper decided to turn off the comments.
She said: “Turned the comments off as people are arguing. If you don’t want to purchase it for your baby then that’s fine.”
Despite the haters many other parents stepped up to defend the product.
One confessed: “I used a Doona for my two younger children – without question it was my most useful piece of baby equipment – great for the school run, or running into the shop for a pint of milk, especially when taking three kids out with me.
“Like with any car seat, I wouldn’t leave my baby in for very long. Do your research and assess whether it’s the right car seat for you and your situation,” they added.
Another said: “This poor lady just put a bargain up why does everyone always go into one about I wouldn’t use it, let’s burn it, it’s unsafe etc she’s letting everyone know about a bargain, if people want to buy it then let them, my baby loves hers and it’s so easy for us so stop judging people and let people see the bargain!”
A third commenter said they had already bought the pram as had no issues with it, they were just gutted that the Aldi bargain wasn’t around when they were looking.
They said: “They’re tested and flatter than an average car seat. I’ve done a lot of research. My partner has just paid £280 for ours.”
As it stands the comments shared were opinions and are not supported by any facts.
