Mike Lindell credits 'great decisions' for having to auction pillow-making gear
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell credited his "great decisions" after confirming that his factory was auctioning pillow-manufacturing equipment.
Earlier this week, Lindell told the StarTribune he had lost about $100 million in sales following his support for Donald Trump's claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
On Tuesday, conservative podcast host Steve Bannon asked Lindell if his company was being "liquidated."
"Well, no, no, we're not," Lindell insisted before revealing that one reporter had asked him if he would remove his name from the company to stop it from going under.
"I'm going, what are you talking about?" he remarked. "I said, you know, it's disgusting."
"I want people to understand you did take a hit," Bannon noted. "They ditched him because he was supporting the fact that the 2020 election was stolen. We all know that, and so right there was a — there has been a hit. You had to change some production lines around. But the company's robust and vibrant."
Lindell said his company was "like a family," so he moved his employees to other jobs.
"So basically, we repositioned," he insisted. "A lot of them didn't have a lot to do, but I paid them anyway."
"So by making great decisions to not lose them, it's paid off now," Lindell added.
