My mom says her laundry hack works better than a washing machine – and it’ll definitely save you on electric bills
A WOMAN has shared the secret to cleaning laundry without a washing machine.
She said the hack worked better than a washing machine and allowed for more flexibility in cleaning clothes.
TikToker Tina Kim (@kdramalogic) has more than 80,000 followers on the social media platform.
She recently uploaded a video of her mother using a new technique to wash her clothes.
Titled “Laundry hack!”, the video opened with a pair of rubber boots stamping on wet clothes in a bucket of soapy water.
Tina said: “My mom’s doing my laundry! She says this is cleaner.”
Tina’s mom was shown wearing waterproof boots and stepping repeatedly on top of a pile of clothes in a plastic container in a bathtub.
The clothes were submerged in soapy water, and the pressure and agitation from the wellington boots helped them become clean.
Tina teased her mom and asked: “Mom, where’d you get the shoes?” before on-screen writing read: “My mom is the best washing machine ever.”
Tina’s mother then tipped over the bucket the clothes were in and dirty water cascaded down the drain.
Tina said: “Woah, my clothes were dirty!”
Overlaid text then read: “She says in a laundry machine u can’t rinse and wash again like this.”
Washing clothes in this way required no electricity, meaning you could save money on bills by manually washing dirty laundry.
In her caption, Tina said: “She’s right it does clean your clothes better than a washing machine.”
She also advised her audience to ‘get some rubber boots.’
Commenter loved the hack, with many jumping in to praise the idea.
One wrote: “Your mom is 100% right, I didn’t have a washing machine for the greatest part of my life, I do now and notice the difference.”
Another said: “Ima Start Doing This cause to to do laundry every week gets expensive.”
