Hearts reducing away allocation to 650
0
Hearts are set to cut all Tynecastle away allocations to around 650, with the exception of city rivals Hibs.
Record Sport understands the Jambos are slashing the number of travelling fans inside their Gorgie ground due to bumper season ticket sales and the demand from walk up punters for home tickets. It means 10 of the 11 clubs visiting the capital next season will be given just one section of the Roseburn stand for Premiership fixtures.
A gentleman’s agreement with the Hibees means Hearts’ neighbours will be exempt from the new policy regarding away briefs. They will continue to get all 3,600 seats behind the goals, which ensures Hearts in return will still receive the entire South Stand at Easter Road when they travel across town on derby day. But the remaining top flight fan bases face a ticket scramble when taking on Steven Naismith’s side this season, Celtic and Rangers in particular
Personally I am quite happy we have came to this agreement. The derby wouldn't be the same atmosphere and buzz if both sets of fans allocations are cut. There is a lot of Hearts fans raging on JKB my mate's saying as they want Hibs to have 650 fans as well due to the fact they think they can sell the other 2000+ seats to the season ticket holders in that stand.
Im sure there is certain Hibs fans on here that think we could do the same and get more of our fans in but I think it would just feel different - apologies if this has been posted already.
