Amazon Prime Day is cutting prices on storage drives from Nextorage. While the young brand may not be familiar, it was started by Sony to create solid-state storage for the PlayStation 5. The company is now part of Phison, another prominent maker of storage products. Helmed by veteran (ex-Sony) experts in the industry, Nextorage now manufactures a variety of digital storage products, from SSDs to portable hard drives and memory cards.
During Prime Day, you'll find deals on Nextorage internal NVMe SSDs, at more than 50% off. Suitable for the PS5 as well as high-end PCs like gaming rigs, the fast SSDs are based on Gen.4x4 with a theoretical max read speed of 7300MB per second and a max write speed of 6900MB per second. They also include a heatsink for thermal management. Being that Nextorage created SSDs for the PS5, console owners looking for an upgrade should take a look

How do you install a solid-state drive into the PlayStation 5?
Every PlayStation 5 has a slot inside of it called an expansion slot. To reach it, you'll need to remove its protective casing and then unscrew the expansion slot's cover using a cross-head screwdriver. It's a relatively simple process that should only take a few minutes.
You can find a detailed guide on how to install a SSD, including video footage, on the official PlayStation website.
