Shooting horror in Coronation Street as Spider fights to save kidnapped Toyah Battersby
TOYAH Battersby vanished into thin air after a mystery woman knocked on her door.
Next week in Coronation Street, Spider Nugent has a chance to save her life as he’s held at gunpoint by his enemy.
Is Toyah Battersby, played by Georgia Taylor, doomed to experience death in her love life?
Last year, the fan favourite character dodged a tragic fate after a car accident but her husband Imran Habeeb succumbed to a heart attack soon after the crash.
Since his death, Toyah was accused of crashing her car on purpose with the intention of killing Imran and she eventually found support in the form of her old flame Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock).
When the pair first rekindled their romance, Toyah had no idea Spider was not only an undercover copper but he was also still married.
The couple eventually moved past Spider’s secrets but they quickly came back to haunt him in recent scenes aired on ITV.
Spider was told by Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) his estranged wife was in Weatherfield and he panicked, knowing that wasn’t possible as his wife was out of the country.
Once he arrived home in a desperate attempt to save Toyah from whoever had knocked on their door, Spider found the flat empty and traces of blood.
Next week, with Toyah still missing, Spider is on a mission to find her and bring her home safe and sound.
