Body of man found in children’s park in Poole in search for missing man Steven Randall
A BODY of a man has been found in a children’s park in Poole after cops had launched an urgent search for a missing man.
Police discovered the tragic find near a field in Merley, Dorset, just before 6pm yesterday.
While formal identification of the body has yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Steven Randall, 48.
Steven was reported missing having left his home address in the town at around 7.30am on Monday, July 10.
Cops believed he was travelling in his car, a Ford Puma with the registration HV21 UVH, when he left.
His family have been updated with this development and are being supported by officers.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been notified.
Inspector Sarah Jones, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are very much with Steven’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time and officers are doing all they can to support them.
“I would like to thank all those involved in the search efforts to locate Steven.”
