Furious Michelle Keegan hits back at ‘ignorant and offensive’ comments over her ‘size six body’
MICHELLE Keegan has furiously hit back after she was slammed by a fan who said they wanted to see her Very clothing collection on a “real” woman.
The Brassic actress, 36, looked incredible as she modelled a number of pieces from the new summer range – including a denim waistcoat, a beige miniskirt with a strapless nude top and a purple midi dress.
Michelle also dolled up in a cream frilly crop top and matching maxi skirt, a black shirt which tied around the waist and a white midi skirt with a split at the front.
The ex-Coronation Street star was showered with positive comments and compliments but not all fans were impressed by the post.
One unhappy follower commented: “You need to show this collection on a real size woman not a size 6.”
But an angry Michelle clapped back: “You need to get off my page and stop writing such ignorant and offensive comments.”
The fan then asked: “How was that offensive? Nice collection but like to see it on someone that’s not a size 6”.
The TV star explained: “Thank you for your comment. But I believe every woman any shape or size is a ‘real’ woman.”
Michelle’s fans were quick to praise her for sharing the important body positive message.
One wrote: “Well said,” while another echoed: “Well said. Any size is still a real woman. Can’t believe someone could write something so ignorant! You look stunning in your collection and your collection is stunning.”
This person commented: “Absolutely darling this woman sounds like a very jealous person.”
While another added “What’s a real woman? Women come in all sizes. How insulting.”
It comes after Michelle showcased her incredible figure in a £200 seventies-inspired dress on holiday in Ibiza.
Michelle kept her followers up to date with her Ibiza trip with photos of sundrenched beaches and delicious meals.
Hubby Mark recently hit back at trolls who claimed that the radio star never sees Michelle.
The couple have been happily married for eight years, but due to their intense work schedules, they have had to endure a long-distance relationship at times.
Recently Mark filmed his new BBC One show A Wright Family Holiday, across the UK, while Michelle spent months in Australia working on BBC drama Ten Pound Poms.
Despite being very busy, the couple do still manage to spend quality time with one another, but like to keep it private.
Speaking about their relationship to the MailOnline, Mark said: “Do you know what, whenever there’s a picture of us together people will say ‘rare picture of Mark and Michelle’ or ‘Mark and Michelle reunite after time apart’.
“We just don’t tell everyone when we do spend quality time together.
“I could be in the house with Michelle for two weeks, but no one will know that because I’m not necessarily posting about it.
“We spend plenty of quality time together, and we’ve had plenty of weekends away. We have got stuff booked up.”
He added: “We spend quality time together just like any other relationship and I’m not just saying that… we genuinely do.”
