Furious Love Island fans accused show of ’fix’ to target unpopular boy after spotting ‘clue’ in the challenge
LOVE Island fans have slammed the show as a “fix” in order to target Scott Van-der-Sluis on last night’s challenge.
The Islanders took part in the Life’s A Beach game which required each couple to take part in three rounds.
The first is themed around throwing shade on their opponents as they revealed their true feelings towards the couple of their choice whilst presenting them with an umbrella.
Scott received three umbrellas from Abi and Mitch, Sammy and Jess and Montel and Leah.
But viewers were confused as to why Scott and Amber, who are in a friendship couple were not hosting the challenge, which usually happens if you’re in a friendship pairing.
Instead Whitney presented the games alongside her love interest Lochan.
Many fans said producers used this as an opportunity for the rest of the Islanders to target Scott and to cause more drama.
One viewer wrote: “Why couldn’t Scott & Amber host the challenge since it’s a friendship couple? THIS SEEMS LIKE A SET UP TO ME.”
Another posted: “Why didn’t Scott and Amber host the challenge since they are a friendship couple?”
A third said: “So confused why Whitney and Lochan hosted the challenge when Scott and Amber are literally in a friendship couple.”
“Why did they make Whitney and Lochan host when Scott and Amber are in a friendship couple,” a fourth echoed.
The comments kept coming with a fifth saying: “Why didn’t they make Scott and Amber who are in a friendship couple the hosts? The did it when Leah and Mitch were in a friendship couple .. producers just wanna keep the Scott hate train this is getting boring.”
Another added: “Jarring cuz they’ll set them up like that but couldn’t set up the recoupling to make Scott go first smh.”
The Welsh lad was left less than impressed after being thrown a ton of shade in tonight’s challenge.
He fumed to his fellow islanders: “I’ve been called a game player the whole time I’ve been in the Villa. Now it’s coming out again…”
But Whitney quipped “Maybe there’s some truth to it…” leaving Scott speechless.
