I made an awesome discovery in my loft after six years of living in my house – it will replace a ‘horrible’ feature
A HOME decor enthusiast has revealed the great discovery she made in her loft after living in her house for six years.
She said the unique detail will replace what she called a horrible feature in her home.
Home decor expert Ali (@shemadehome) has a passion for DIY home renovation projects and budget-friendly makeovers.
She has lived in her 1930s home for the last six years, and her husband noticed something hidden upstairs.
In a TikTok video, she showed viewers the discovery she made in the loft.
When the video began, Ali showed her loft which was filled with bins and miscellaneous items.
“This is our loft and we just popped up here to put some decorations away,” she said.
Then, she walked over to a corner area of the loft space.
“We’ve lived here for six years and my husband just realized that this wood over here in the corner they’re the original doors to our 1930s house that we didn’t know were here,” she added.
This was a great discovery because they had their “horrible hollow core doors.”
The doors were nestled under the hardwood, but underneath were the original doors that she was excited to use in their historic dwelling.
The subtitle read: “We have lived with horrible 1960s doors for six years.”
“Unbelievable. Literally, six years we’ve lived here with the horrible doors downstairs,” she said as the video came to a close.
“Brilliant find!!” a viewer commented.
“I’m lucky my Victorian house has all original doors and panels,” another shared.
