Ben Thompson snaps ‘that’s too much!’ at BBC Breakfast co-star as he cuts off weather report
BBC BREAKFAST star Ben Thompson dramatically cut off the show’s weather report as she snapped that it was ‘too much’.
The journalist is currently presenting the flagship show alongside Sally Nugent, 51.
He is standing in for Jon Kay who previously told fans he was taking two weeks annual leave from the Beeb.
But during Monday’s show Ben snapped at stand in weather presenter Matt Taylor.
He was bringing viewers the latest forecast as Carol Kirkwood was noticeably absent from the show.
The topic soon focused on the extreme heat Europe is currently is facing – despite the UK’s recent downpours.
Sally and Ben had asked Matt if the UK would see any of the hot weather, with the presenter delivering bad news that more rain is forecast.
He said: “No sign of it coming back for the end of this month at least.”
While Sally was disappointed, Ben had enough as he replied: “Okay, shh now,” before adding: “That’s too much already”.
Meanwhile, Sally was slammed for an ‘amateur’ blunder by fans as she was nervously left laughing.
During the programme Ben and Sally spoke to music producer Pete Waterman about his latest show.
It sees a bride who is stood up at her own wedding decide to bring her family her honeymoon.
The star’s music is integrated into the musical stage show which kicks off later this year.
However, some BBC Breakfast fans weren’t pleased with Sally and Ben’s chat with Pete.
They took to social media to slam the interview.
