Rob Brown Finds Me Insufferable
FOTM Hall of Famer Ed Conroy was recently on my podcast with his pal PJ Fresh Phil. We recorded live at Myseum Toronto and it was fab. Ed posted on Facebook about the episode, and the overwhelming response was positive. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy a nostalgic Toronto Mike'd episode with Retrontario and PJ Fresh Phil?
The answer to that question is Rob Brown.
Rob Brown finds me "insufferable", and he's not afraid to share that opinion. Earlier today, on reddit, responding to a post about today's episode of Toronto Mike'd in the Tragically Hip subreddit, he shared that same opinion.
Despite the fact Rob Brown did not listen to today's episode with Paul Langlois, which was fucking rad and even included a live performance from this member of The Tragically Hip, Rob would like everyone to know he finds me "insufferable".
But Rob Brown didn't always find me "insufferable". In fact, he was a devout listener who loved Toronto Mike'd. Here are a few of the many, many pieces of positive feedback I've received from Rob Brown over the years.
And that's just a few Tweets. There are literally hundreds of comments on this blog from "519 Rob" in which he professes his love for Toronto Mike'd and this blog.
People are allowed to change their minds. Perhaps a few years ago Toronto Mike'd was Rob Brown's favourite podcast and now he finds me "insufferable". That's entirely possible, and I'm totally fine with that, I just wish 519 Rob Brown would cool it with the "Toronto Mike is insufferable" comments on reddit, Facebook, etc.
After all, there may be be a Hip fan or two who might enjoy an 80 minute conversation with Paul Langlois.
