I’m plus size and there are three ways I survive chub rub in the summer & they cost as little as £1
WHILE many of us love summer, with the heat comes the uncomfortable issue of chafing.
But if thigh burn is something you struggle with each year, then no fear because McKayla, who is a size 24 influencer, has revealed the top three ways that she survives ‘chub rub’ in the summer.
The first two options she swears by is deodorant, which can be purchased for as little as £1, and Megababe thigh rescue, £8.
“They’re almost tied for me but MegaBabe is a little bit more slick than the deodorant is,” she says, in a clip shared to TikTok (@makingitmckayla).
“I use these when I can’t wear shorts underneath something, like for instance if the dress is too short.
“You just have to reapply them a lot.
“Sometimes I forget and then I’ll still get chub rub.”
But McKayla goes on to say how her number one go-to- anti-chafing product are tights.
“And no, it’s not Spanx, don’t worry,” she says.
“They’re called Snag Tights…I like these because they’re super breathable, they’re really comfy and they actually whick away moisture.
“And most importantly, you don’t have to remember to reapply every couple of hours or dry yourself off.
“You just put these on and you’re good for the day!”
McKayla then goes on to ask others what their favourite ways to keep chub rub at bay during the summer are.
And she wasn’t short of answers – with several people rushing to the comments section to share their top tips and tricks.
“Baby powder – it just works great, but you need to apply a LOT at once, then you’re good to go for the whole day,” suggested one.
A second penned: “Broooo thank youuuu. i just ordered the shorts and i’m so excited, first time I ever heard of them.”
A third commented: “I use gel ones and it works all day.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “I have used deodorant for years.”
Another noted: “Aerosol deodorant…game changer on the thighs.”
A further added: “SPRAY DEODORANT I like the dove one and it works so good like for amusement parks.”
And one more chimed in: “I actually use cornstarch – works great for me.”
