Person shot in Union City

UNION CITY — A person was shot here Tuesday morning, police said.

Police said the victim suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. They did not release any other information about the victim.

The person was shot about 11:07 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 12th and G streets. They were found by responding officers  and transported to a hospital.

Police did not immediately announce a possible motive for the shooting or any suspect information.

The area of the shooting was shut down while police investigated.
