Justin Fields Shows Tender Side In Adorable Moment With Young Fans
If people need a constant reminder of why Justin Fields is easy to cheer for, all they need to do is watch how he acts around fans. The Chicago Bears quarterback has always been accommodating during his public appearances, taking pictures and signing autographs. Yet he always seems to be at his best when he’s around kids. That was never clearer than during a visit to Lake Forest Academy, a college preparatory school known for its strong athletic programs. He was working out there with his personal trainer, Simeon Kelley.
As they were walking through the parking lot, Fields noticed a large group of children standing outside the James P. Fitzsimmons Athletic Wing of the school. The quarterback got a big grin on his face and jogged over to greet them. The kids’ excitement was obvious, chanting his name as he came over to slap high-fives. Kelley caught it all on video.
If you don’t get a sense of joy from watching this, then you probably don’t have a soul. It is obvious how much Fields relishes moments like that.
Justin Fields is one step away from owning Chicago.
When you look at him, he has similar characteristics to Walter Payton. An outstanding leader in the locker room, the hardest worker on the team, and highly personable toward the fans. The only remaining difference is Payton played like a star for the Bears. That is what catapulted him to the mantle of greatest Bear ever. Fields seems like he is so close to that same achievement. He already shows leadership, work ethic, and giving nature to fans. He must deliver on the field now.
The quarterback showed improvement last year, shattering records as a runner and carrying the offense for most of the season. His last hurdle is becoming a more consistent passer. The Bears worked hard to make that easier for him, adding multiple new weapons and bolstering the offensive line. Justin Fields has done his part, continuing to work his tail off every day. The kids already love him, and the feeling is mutual. If he can put it all together in 2023, he will own this city.
