Woman reveals clever way she hides her husband’s mess when he walks in door – but everyone is saying same thing
A DIY fan has shared the clever way she keeps her hallway clear from family mess when they get home.
The woman demonstrated on TikTok how she had transformed a plant pot into an aesthetically pleasing dumping ground for her and her husband.
In a post, the social media user can be heard saying: “It’s not just my husband that throws everything on the side when he comes in, it’s also me.
“So if you’re like us, you’ll want to follow this simple idea.”
She reveals that all you need is a faux plant, some fake moss and a plant pot – all of which can be purchased at Ikea.
The woman then shows herself cutting a circle out of card, that is the same diameter as her chosen plant pot.

The woman then demonstrates how she glues a faux plant and moss to the top of the card.
This, she explains, creates the ‘lid’ for the plant pot – which will be used to neatly store items like keys, wallet and coins.
Her post has proved popular with viewers, who have left more than 74,000 ‘likes’ and over 600 comments.
One person wrote: “Such a good idea.”
Another shared: “I think this is genius.”
However, many joked that their husbands wouldn’t remember to put their things inside the pot.
One noted: “Mine would leave his things next to the pot.”
Another wrote: “Mine would go next to the pot.”
A third woman admitted: “Knowing me I would lose my keys in there immediately, with no recollection of even creating the hidden space.”
And a fourth teased: “Not me, constantly uprooting the real plant by mistake.”
