DIY whizz shows off dream dressing room she knocked up using bargains from Argos and Ikea & it’s giving Molly-Mae vibes
A WOMAN who decided to transform her spare bedroom into her dream dressing room has revealed how she did it on a budget.
Gemma Markland, from the UK, shared how she transformed her dressing room using buys from Ikea and Argos, and it’s giving Molly-Mae Hague vibes.
Taking to TikTok, the DIY whizz said: “This is how I created my dream dressing area, first, we took two IKEA Malm drawers
“We then added these gold handles which I picked up on Amazon.”
She used the drawers to create a huge, chic dressing table and used a large sheet of glass from Ikea to create the top of the table.
Behind the dressing table she used long panels of MDF to create a modern panel wall which she stuck in place with a nail gun.
She then painted them in skimming stone paint to match the rest of the walls.
Gemma then put a giant mirror in the middle of the panel wall and added gold trip and LED lights around the sides.
Once the wall was done, she pushed the table alongside it, adding a white and gold chair from Argos.
The savvy woman accessories the room with a white vase, a gold trinket tray and some wall art.
In the comments, Gemma revealed she spent around £500 on the entire room.
The video posted to her account @themarklandhome has since gone viral with over four million views and over 480k likes.
People were quick to praise Gemma for her incredible DIY skills and couldn’t believe just how expensive the room looked.
One person wrote: “Looks so expensive to look at.”
Another commented: “Brilliant Job!”
“So cheap to do and looks expensive! This is amazing,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Looks so expensive.”

Someone else added: “This is a dream.”
