Promising Metro Winner for Trapeze Artist

0

The Lindsay Park training partnership of Ben and JD Hayes have had an outstanding season with their juveniles and made it back to back wins with striking chestnut Trapeze Artist filly Flying Concello at Sandown on Wednesday.

Flying Concello broke her maiden at her second start at Bendigo last month and took another step forward to win this 1300m fillies contest by a head under Damien Oliver over the late closing first starter Ahuriri (NZ), a Chris Waller trained daughter of Almanzor (Fr).

Retained to race by her breeders, Flying Concello is the first winner for winning Lonhro mare Little Gypsy, a half-sister to Group I placed Roma Giaconda from the family of Group I winner Leica Smile and Group II winner Moon Dragon.

The yearling full brother to Flying Concello sold for $200,000 in the Newhaven Park draft at Magic Millions this year top Danny O’Brien Racing.

Flying Concello is the eighth winner for Trapeze Artist, who has three stakes performers in Facile, Flying Trapeze and Artistica.

The champion son of Snitzel stands at Widden Stud this spring at a fee of $55,000 this spring.
