Kamuzu Central Hospital to start charging patients K10,000 by-pass fee

Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH), the main referral centre for Central Region and parts of Northern Region, has raised its by-pass fee to K10, OO0 from MK2,500.

According to a statement signed by Hospitals Director Jonathan Ngoma, the revision is with effect from August 1, 2023.

By-pass fee is paid by patients who seek medical treatment from central hospitals without reference from public health centres in their areas.
