I’m a mum – here are the kids’ clothes which make your little ones look tacky… don’t ever buy them
A MUM has revealed the kid’s clothing items that can make your little one look tacky.
Kirsty Fisher took to TikTok to show the four items that can turn your tot from ultra-chic to unstylish.
The nine-second clip, captioned: “Baby clothes I would never use” begins with a snap of a pair of embroidered denim jeans.
The mum wrote: “Just a personal preference, I hate jeans on a baby”.
Plastered with pink flowers and a bow-tied ribbon belt, Kirsty revealed that dressing your kid in jeans can make them look tacky.
Several other parents on the app agreed with Kirsty and shared their thoughts beneath the post.
One said: “I can’t stand shoes on babies that don’t walk, I guess the same concept as jeans, let them feel comfortable”.
A second added: “I say I hate jeans on babies and everyone looks at me crazy”.
“I work in a day care and babies in jeans are a nightmare,” one more added.
The next item, which may be a popular garment among new parents, are Disney themed baby-grows.
She shows viewers a blue Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck onesie and a pink Minnie Mouse and Daffy Duck onesie which she admits she would never put her baby in.
Item three is knee-high socks with large bows attached to the sides.
Other mums agreed with Kirsty in the comments on this piece, with one writing: “Them sock with bows can sometimes look cute sometimes look too tacky”.
The last item in Kirsty’s list is giant bow headbands which tend to cover the baby’s face.
She shared a snap of a baby wearing a huge orange headband, with a selection of multiple colours beside it and hundreds of parents in the comments seemed to agree with Kirsty’s suggestion.
One mum said: “I can’t stand when moms use those big bows,” to which Kirsty responded: “They literally cover their whole face”.
Another commented: “I hate any headbands small or large for babies, had my daughter in Jan and people keep buying them for her and I refuse to put them on”.
A third commented: “I agree with you on the bow so much I bought two of them for a photo shoot and they were cute but they’re so huge it’s bigger than their head”.
The post racked up a mega 108,700 views and over 2,000 likes with other parents mostly agreeing with Kirsty’s advice.
But a handful of viewers defended some of the items with one commenting: “I love Disney my baby has mostly Mickey Mouse outfits, he is always matching me, I find it adorable”.
Another wrote: “You had me in the first half, but we’ve gotta have our socks and bows around here”.
This comes after one mum splashed out £10,000 on her baby’s lavish wardrobe as she hate’s putting tacky clothes on her one-year-old.
And another mum revealed how she would never let her children wear clothes with cartoons on them because they make her “cringe”.
