Insomniac Events and Emo Nite partner for Grave Rave series

Southern California-based electronic music festival promoter Insomniac Events and the Los Angeles-based creators of the Emo Nite experiences have joined forces for a new music experience dubbed Grave Rave that will come to Los Angeles in December.

Insomniac, which produces festivals like EDC, HARD Summer, Beyond Wonderland and more, and Emo Nite, which now has a Las Vegas residency and brings emo and pop punk parties to venues across the country, have entered into a multi-faceted partnership that will bring fans of both brands new shows, projects and a line of apparel. Grave Rave will be infusing the sounds of electronic music with the muse of emo, punk and rock.

To kick off this new partnership, the promoters announced Road to Grave Rave, a preview party taking over Insomniac’s Academy LA venue on Aug. 26. The event will include surprise DJs and artists that were inspired by the sounds of alternative music. Fans that are 21-and-older will be granted free entry to the Grave Rave preview with advance RSVP at academy.la/graverave.

“While the genres of music we each specialize in are very different, we share the same values at the core of our companies,” Emo Nite founders T.J. Petracca and Morgan Freed said in a press release. “Witnessing the passion and creativity Insomniac puts into their festivals and events inspires us to dream bigger. We’re beyond excited to work with them and to learn from them as we take these next steps on this journey to make our big dreams a reality.”

Emo Nite has also announced that they are joining the Insomniac Music Group by launching its record label, Graveboy Records, with forthcoming singles by We The Kings, Say Anything and Noelle Sucks. The first Insomniac and Emo Nite merch collection will drop at this year’s two-day Insomniac festival HARD Summer on Aug. 5-6 in Downtown Los Angeles.
