JITESH SHARMA who will be seen playing in the upcoming Asian Games 2023, China lavished huge praise on Virat Kohli and called him inspiration.
Jitesh’s national call up was rewarded because of his performance in recently concluded Indian Premier League.
In IPL 2023, the wicketkeeper batter slammed 309 runs with a highest score of 49*. The batter revealed that he loves Virat Kohli’s captaincy and also said that it will be a honor for him to play under Kohli.
“Virat Kohli has been an inspiration, I love his captaincy, it will be a honour to play under him” said Jitesh to News24sports.
While many fans started comparing Jitesh with Suryakumar Yadav, the batter said that they don’t know about cricket.
“People, who are making the comparison, don’t know about cricket. He has come a long way, and I have just come out of the egg. SKY is a big player and is at the top. I am nowhere near to him,” he added.
Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead team India in the upcoming Asian Games which will be played in China as all the senior players will be busy with the ODI World Cup.
This will be the first time for Gaikwad to lead the team. On the other hand, all eyes will be on Rinku Singh after his heroics for Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League.
