The government sought that Mishra be allowed to stay in office till October 15 so that the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) review of India's money-laundering investigations can conclude swiftly. The application was mentioned by solicitor general Tushar Mehta before a bench headed by justice BR Gavai. The bench agreed to take up the application on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
