Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Yadav has suggested Prime Minister Narendra Modi's absence from Parliament over the Manipur issue may be due to guilt. He fuelled rumours of Modi leaving the country after the 2024 Lok Sabha election, stating the Prime Minister "seems to have plans to seek refuge elsewhere." Meanwhile, opposition parties have demanded Modi attend Parliament for a comprehensive discussion on the Manipur crisis. However, the government has pushed for a reply from Home Minister Amit Shah.
