A farmer from Ampapuram village in the Krishna district paid tribute to his deceased pet dog, Anji, by unveiling a beautifully crafted statue outside his residence. Sunkara Gnana Prakasa Rao, who adopted Anji in 2007 and considers him an integral part of the family, was devastated when Anji passed away in July 2016. To commemorate his pet's memory, he started a tradition of charitable deeds, which has continued for seven years. The statue was unveiled in a heartening ceremony attended by Vedic scholars who blessed the departed soul of the dog.
