The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused opposition parties of avoiding a debate on the Manipur issue in Parliament. The BJP claims that opposition leaders know the government has appropriate responses to their questions and are therefore uninterested in discussing it. A group of opposition leaders demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi make a statement on the Manipur issue to Parliament and visit the area to bring peace.
