THE QUEEN of the furniture flip has done it again and turned an Ikea table into an expensive marble dupe.
She did it for the princely sum of $27, while the real thing costs thousands, anything between $855 and a whopping $1530.
Her efforts amazed her followers with one so impressed that they were compelled to comment: “This is one of the coolest hacks I’ve ever seen.”
It was all in a day’s work for Shayna (@theflippedpiece), who makes a living turning ordinary pieces of furniture into something very special.
This lady has built up an incredible community on her TikTok with over 848,000 followers plus 13.1 million likes.
“Welcome to my furniture flips and DIYs and daily life,” is how she describes herself on her platform.
In this post, she tackled a classic Ikea Lax table turning it into an expensive-looking “marble dupe.”
She explained her process to achieving a seemingly quality coffee table.
“I got some marble contact paper and four sheets of MDF cut,” she explained.
“I wrapped them all up and wrapped the top of the table. Then I used some glue and some nails to secure them.
“I sealed the edges with some silicon and this is the final result.”
The finished piece was miles away from the original table.
“It was so easy and cost less than $27,” she said.
Her post, which has been liked over 13,000 times, managed to inspire some householders.
