I gave my son the best free day out that didn’t cost a penny, from a Pets at Home activity to a meal at Tesco
A MUM has revealed how she gave her son the best day out without it costing her a penny.
From a free meal at Tesco to holding animals at Pets at Home, the woman said her little boy absolutely loved the activities.
She shared photos of her “happy” son holding a guinea-pig and later playing arcade games.
Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she shared details about their purse-friendly day.
She wrote: “Took my little boy to Pets at Home animal club where they get to hold the animals, then had a walk into Smyths toy store so he could have a few goes on this game.
“Then headed to Tesco for our dinner.
“All this cost nothing and my lad absolutely loved it.
“All a few hours out don’t need to cost a penny, a happy little boy and didn’t cost a penny.”
Hundreds of mums liked her post, and also raved about Pets at Home’s My Pet Pals workshops.
One said: “We did this at our local store yesterday too.
“There were only 3 kids including ours booked on.
“They fed the fish. Held guinea pigs and rabbits and also got to touch various snakes.
“Really lovely session and bonus it’s totally free.”
Another parent praised: “The best fun is free sometimes.”
A third commented: “Thank you for sharing this. Just booked my little boy one for this afternoon.”
