Shocking moment speeding Mercedes crashes into garage sending bricks flying but teen drivers miraculously survive
THIS is the shocking moment a speeding Mercedes crashed into a garage and sent bricks flying.
The horror smash saw cops, ambulance crews and fire engines rush to the scene on Manor Road, Littleover, Derbyshire, just after 8pm on Sunday.
The white A-class spun out of control as it appeared to race down the residential street.
Ploughing into the driveway wall, bricks flew from into the air before the motor caved in a homeowner’s garage door and structure.
As three people emerged from the wreckage, a woman from the house and a passerby run to help.
Two teens – the driver and a passenger – were taken to hospital but miraculously survived the collision.
The passenger, donning a white T-shirt, walked over to the path moments after the crash and collapsed near the road.
Meanwhile the driver, 19, stood in the doorway of his written-off car with his head in his hands before resting it on the roof.
Their injuries are not-life threatening, say police.
The terrifying moment was caught on CCTV footage which has since been released.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information or dashcam footage, is asked to contact us quoting the reference 23000471537.”
It comes after a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old died in a head-on collision on Monday.
They were travelling along the A20 in Farningham, Kent, when their red Ford Escort crashed into a silver Ford Panel van.
