Radio 1 star makes huge blunder live on air – throwing show into chaos
RADIO 1 and I’m a Celeb star Jordan North made a rude blunder on air today.
Popular host Jordan, 33, was presenting his regular slot with co-host Vick Hope when he made the X-rated mishap.
Listeners were asked to call in and share what they were having for dinner during the segment.
But the TV star got a little carried away and made a cheeky slip-up.
Jordan told fans: “Katie says we’re having Greek picky t*** for tea.”
Quickly realising his mistake, a horrified Jordan said: “Oh no! I’m so sorry.”
His co-presenter Vick was in hysterics at the hilarious mistake and burst out laughing.
Struggling to contain herself, she repeated: “Picky bits.”
Jordan continued: “I think we’re done.
“I’m so sorry – I’m genuinely sorry about that.
“I was meant to say picky bits.”
He added: “I’m never going to work again.”
BBC Radio 1’s official X account shared the blooper on their social media account, leaving fans in fits of giggles.
One wrote: “These 2 just crack me up all the time. Must be a nightmare for their production team trying to keep them on the straight and narrow.”
Another posted: “Made my Monday whilst working from home. Absolutely hilarious, thank you.”
A third added: “Oh Jordan,” with a laughing face emoji.
It comes just days after Radio 1‘s Arielle Free, 36, was pulled off air and suspended on Saturday following a dramatic exchange on the station’s Dance Anthems show.
The former Love Island: The Morning After podcast host joined Dance Anthem host Charlie Hedges on her show as a guest on July 29 in the party hot spot of Ibiza.
Arielle decided to tell Charlie what she thought of her show.
She said: “Can I be honest with you Charlie?… I expected better of you… I don’t like this song.”
“Oh really?,” Charlie replied. Arielle continued: “I hate it!”
Charlie butted in, saying in reply: “Sorry I’m taking your mic down, it’s my show Arielle, have some respect please.
“See you later. Get out of here.”
A spokesperson for Radio 1 said: “Whilst we would not comment on individual matters, we have strict codes of behaviour for staff and presenters, and any breaches are taken extremely seriously.”
Arielle was a guest on the show as part of a scheduled appearance and is expected to return to the station next week.
Those listening in at the time were shocked at what had happened.
One said on Twitter: “@ariellefree @ahj that was awful, Charlie did well to shut you down. Any other job and you would be fired!”
