Security firm Tenable has addressed an open letter to Microsoft complaining of a lack of transparency and irresponsible security practices. The letter claims that a flaw in Microsoft’s Azure platform was exposed in March 2021 but that Microsoft took three months to partially address the problem. This, the letter asserts, has exposed numerous customers to cyber threats and jeopardised the cloud providers’ shared responsibility model. The blog post has been endorsed by members of Tenable’s Research team, who discovered the vulnerability within Azure.
