Guardians place potent 1B Josh Naylor (oblique) on IL

Cleveland Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a right oblique strain.

The move is retroactive to Tuesday.

Naylor leads Cleveland with 79 RBIs and a .306 batting average with 15 homers in 96 games.

His absence comes after the Guardians dealt first baseman/designated hitter Josh Bell to the Miami Marlins at the trade de
