Sex Trafficking Victim Says Trafficker “Took All His Girls to Planned Parenthood” for Abortions
“Ann” visited Planned Parenthood often with her human trafficker for birth control and, when it failed, abortions.
A survivor of sex trafficking, Ann told researchers in a 2019 study how her abuser befriended staffers at Planned Parenthood so they would not ask questions about the many girls he brought there.
“I went to Planned Parenthood. I went there a lot for birth control. He took all his girls there,” she said. “They knew him by Benny, but they didn’t know who he was. He just kept saying that they were sisters or friends.”
According to Live Action News, Ann’s story is just one of many linking human trafficking victims to Planned Parenthood, a billion-dollar abortion chain that receives hundreds of millions of tax dollars every year.
The report cited three recent studies, including the one that Ann participated in, “Sex Trafficking Victims at Their Junction with the Healthcare Setting—A Mixed-Methods Inquiry” in the Journal of Human Trafficking, that show evidence of the connection.
Many survivors told researchers that their abusers liked taking them to Planned Parenthood because its staff does not ask questions, according to Live Action. In some cases, the victims were under 18.

In Ann’s case, she said her abuser acted friendly with the staff, lied about his relationship to his victims and did “not get questioned about it.”
“Whenever any of us went, he went with us,” she remembered. When asked to leave the exam room, “he was like, ‘Naw, I’m good. I want to make sure that you treat her right’ kind of thing. They didn’t make him. They would just say, ‘Are you okay with him being here?’ The answer is always, ‘Yeah.’”
Another former victim, “Beverly,” told researchers that she visited Planned Parenthood “very often” during the eight years that she was trafficked. According to the study, Planned Parenthood is “most commonly visited community healthcare clinic” among human trafficking victims.
Another study published in 2014 by the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy similarly found that victims “had significant contact with clinical treatment facilities, most commonly Planned Parenthood clinics.” Of those involved in the research, about 30 percent had visited a Planned Parenthood while being trafficked.
Live Action News also pointed to a 2017 study, “Identifying Health Experiences of Domestically Sex-Trafficked Women in the USA: A Qualitative Study in Rikers Island Jail,” that also listed Planned Parenthood among the most frequent places visited by trafficking victims.
About three-fourths of the participants in the study said they visited a “community clinic” while being abused and “all but one visited a Planned Parenthood,” according to the research.
The victims said the abortion chain was “free” and “helpful,” suggesting their traffickers did not fear Planned Parenthood reporting their abuse. Under the law, suspected abuse of children under 18 is supposed to be reported to authorities by any health care provider, and some of the sex trafficking victims in the studies were underage.
Here’s more from Live Action:
Laura, who said she was so “young” she needed “a waiver” to be examined, spoke about her time “on the street” saying, “I went to hospitals, urgent care clinics, women’s health clinics, and private doctors. No one ever asked me anything anytime I ever went to a clinic. … I was on birth control during the 10 years I was on the streets — mostly Depo-Provera shots which I got at Planned Parenthood and other neighborhood clinics. I got the morning-after pill from them…”
Another survivor explained that she got pregnant six times while being trafficked and had six abortions. She said, “At least one of my abortions was from Planned Parenthood because they didn’t ask any questions. … I had so much scar tissue from these abortions because there was no follow-up and in a couple of cases I had bad infections, so bad that I eventually lost my fallopian tubes [and had to have a hysterectomy].”
For decades, pro-life advocates and others have uncovered evidence of Planned Parenthood ignoring the sexual abuse of young girls.
An undercover video in 2011 caught a New Jersey Planned Parenthood staffer “advising undercover Live Action actors on how an underage prostitute could continue to work after having an abortion.” The staffer told an undercover investigator posing as a pimp that he could keep trafficking a girl immediately post-abortion as long as the rape was “waist up.” The abortion chain later fired the employee.
Planned Parenthood also has been accused of selling aborted baby body parts, botching abortions that killed women, discriminating against pregnant and racial minority employees and other unethical and potentially illegal activities. Technically a nonprofit, it supports abortions for “any reason” up to birth, including sex-selection abortions. Last year, it killed 374,155 unborn babies in abortions while receiving more than $670 million in tax dollars.
A new Open Secrets investigation found Planned Parenthood spends more money lobbying federal lawmakers than any other group on either side of the abortion debate.
