Woman, 52, stabbed to death at home in Doncaster as cops arrest man on suspicion of murder
POLICE have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead at a home following reports of a “dispute”.
The victim passed away at the property in Sprotbrough, Doncaster, on Saturday after sustaining multiple stab wounds.
South Yorkshire Police said she passed away shortly after being wounded at the property on Main Street.
Officers were called to the scene at around 8pm amid reports of a “dispute” taking place inside the home.
They then tragically discovered the woman’s lifeless body.
Cops arrested a 52-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder following the incident yesterday night.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A man is under arrest after a woman died in Sprotbrough, Doncaster yesterday evening.
“We were called at 8pm to reports of a dispute inside a property on Main Street in which a woman had been stabbed.
“She sadly died a short time later. A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.”
The identity of the victim has not yet been reported.
The investigation continues.
