I’m a gypsy & proud, trolls think I don’t have a job but that’s SO wrong, I’m probably more qualified than you
AFTER receiving cruel comments from trolls who claimed she has no job and doesn’t pay for anything, one gypsy hit back.
Charlotte Ann took her social media account to snap back at one particular person, who commented one of her videos saying: “Why do you not pay your way ??? Is it because you don’t work ?
“And don’t have your own money, stand on your own to feet, get an education and a job”.
Clearly upset by this, Charlotte Ann said: “Things that gypsy people do that country people find strange, we’re gonna talk about some of the comments I got from that series.”
Dressed in a pink bathrobe, she went on to recite the comment before adding: “I have a list of qualifications.
“I also work in the health and social sector and I’m a support worker for people with learning disabilities.”
She went on to share that prior to this, she was in dementia care as well as palliative care.
“Yes, I only went to primary school because that’s the cultural norm in my community,” she continued. “But you can learn on the job and I’m also in the process to do the next level of my MVQ.”
Charlotte Ann said that when she goes out with her family, including her mum and uncle, they tend to pay for her food and other things.
“I’m not expected to move out or leave home because that’s a culture unknown for me,” she went on.
“Just because my culture is not like yours, that doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with my culture.
“And that you have the audacity to tell me to get a job like you know anything about me… When I have a job.
“I work frontline in Covid and I had Covid three times. I put my own life on the line to look after non-travelling people who was in the place that I worked at the time.
“It’s not where I work now, it was a good few years ago when everything happened with outbreak. And I done that because that was my job. And I loves my job.”
She continued: “It’s disgusting that you can leave comments like this. Why can’t you embrace and respect other people’s cultures…”
Charlotte Ann ended the video by urging people to educate themselves before leaving cruel comments on people’s videos.
In the caption, she added: “This video is to educate. The comments on that series, some are shocker”.
People flocked to the comments as one person wrote: “you’re a wonderful representative of the traveller community and I’m learning a lot about your culture well done,” followed by a clapping hands emoji.
Another shared: “Well done Charlotte ann for all your hard work and best of luck in your future studies. Some people just love to knock people, you keep being you”.
While a third added: “I wouldn’t waste energy on this person. Fair dues to you for working and having so many qualifications xx”.
