East Bay pets of the week for Aug. 11
I’m Bibble, a sweet, affectionate older pup looking for a patient, nurturing companion. My confidence is growing every day, so it’s important my adopter gives me a sense of security so my personality can continue to flourish! The best home for me would be a calm home without little ones. I’d also love to find someone with previous dog experience, plus having another dog friend in the home would be an added bonus (but not required)! I am such a love-bug and will quickly show you why I’m a wonderful companion. Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

I’m Peewee, a 7-month-old goofy Border Collie mix. I’m a sweet, gangly boy wants to show you how fun I am. Life can be overwhelming as a teenager, so it may take me time (and a few snacks, I love snacks) to get comfy. With some fun clicker training I have the brains to go the distance! I’d like to find a home without small children, and I’m still figuring out how to make friends with other dogs. Meet me at the Oakland shelter. My adoption fee is $50. The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on EBSPCA programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

Oh, Ohana. This beautiful girl has been with us since December and needs a chance at life outside the shelter. She’s very energetic but with decent exercise she mellows out nicely. Ohana loves people and adores snuggles. “Ohana” is the Hawaiian term for “family” — and ours could sure use one. She will need to be the only dog in her future family, in which the children should be 16 or older. To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

These two cuties are 16 weeks old. Johnny’s is the tabby, Juno is grey with white on his face. They are typical kittens times two. It’s really hard not to laugh as you watch them play. But they’re great in their quiet time, too. Toys, snuggles and a sunny window complete their resumes. Not a necessity but we’d love to see them adopted together. For more information about this or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
