I’m a mom – my four top parenting hacks will save your sanity and your dollar, you’ll get marker off the wall instantly
RAISING kids is a full-time job but there are hacks that can make it a bit easier.
A content creator revealed her top four parenting tips, including a trick for removing permanent marker from your walls.
In her video, TikTok user Mackenzie Taylor (@makenzie.taylorr) shared her top ways to “save your sanity and a buck.”
For her first suggestion, the TikToker showed her followers how to handle a common cleaning problem.
“Has your kid ever colored on your walls with permanent marker? If they haven’t yet they will eventually,” Mackenzie explained.
Demonstrating her easy fix, she told viewers: “Take some sunscreen, spray it on there, and it’s all gone.”
The influencer also recommended a handy way to buy your children new shoes.
“You don’t want to lug all of your kids to the store to try on shoes,” Mackenzie said.
She advised her followers: “Cut some string to their foot size and measure the shoes with that, when you get home it’ll fit perfectly and save your sanity.”
For her next tip, the TikToker showed her audience her band-aid application hack.
“When your kid gets a cut, trying to get a band-aid on their finger is the biggest pain in the world,” she said.
Mackenzie recommended: “Cut it in half and you can maneuver it and it fits on their finger without falling off.”
Finally, the content creator revealed her trick for tackling motion sickness during car journeys.
She explained: “If you or somebody you’re riding with gets car sick, bring some rubbing alcohol and make whoever feels car sick sniff it.
“It’ll take the nausea away and you won’t have to clean any vomit up,” Mackenzie told viewers.
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the advice.
“I’m going have to try the rubbing alcohol, I always feel nauseous in the car,” wrote one viewer.
Another follower said: “I need more, loved this, learned some new things.”
“I probably have brain damage from how often I do the rubbing alcohol thing,” commented a third person.
