I’m a gardening fan and I created indoor plant room to enjoy during wet summers – people are blown away
A GARDENING guru has blown people away after she shared the stunning indoor plant room she created.
Taking to TikTok, Yvonne Purcell, who posts interior and garden design content under the username @sixat21, revealed how she achieved the timeless look.
The indoor plant room, which was created to enjoy during the wet and windy weather, is tiled with a beautiful black and white symmetrical patterns.
It has a two-seater garden table positioned at a floor-length window – a perfect spot to settle down to enjoy a cup of tea.
A ceramic head planter brings a pop of colour that ties in with the green pottery, and a double risen planter stands tucked away in the corner.
Yvonne has also created the ideal space to sit back and read a book, with a cosy-looking green armchair nestled in the corner of the room.
A dragonfly cushion and woollen blanket adorn the chair, which sits against the most gorgeous plant-patterned wallpaper.
Of course, even more potted plants surround the nook with a woven candle holder and a wooden footstool sitting underneath the armchair.
A small wooden table positioned to the right of the chair is home to more flowers, with vibrant greens and yellows sticking with the theme of the room.
People rushed to the comment section to gush over the gardening enthusiast’s eye for design.
One person said: “Lovely, I really am fond of the way you decorate your house.”
Another wrote: “I so needed this inspiration to redo my kitchen and dining room for fall. Thx.”
“I would die right now. and choose this as my HEAVEN”, commented a third.
While a fourth said: “I love your aesthetic so much.”
Elsewhere, a home renovation expert has revealed why people should think twice before converting a shed into a tiny home.
He said the transformation not only poses a risk for mold but building a DIY cabin costs about the same.
Derrick (@delta_whiskey89) filmed himself discussing the matter in a video on TikTok.
‘I DON’T LIKE THEM’
He started of saying: “Let’s talk about something really important. And that’s the tough sheds to tiny house conversions. I don’t like them.
“I’m going to tell you why. Now. This is an eight-foot-by-10-foot shed that we built in the backyard. This is an actual construction-grade home. This is a cabin house. Quality build.”
He compared the cabin built from the ground up to an average Home Depot shed.
He added: “You do not get that from a Home Depot shed. It’s set up so that we can vent the soffits. You’re not gonna get that from a shed.
“Once again, so you can’t vent your roof space. Vaulted ceiling. You’re gonna end up with mould issues.
He advised that he bought some parts of the cabin on a budget from Facebook Marketplace.
“Same price. You can do so much better. If you build an actual quality cabin. Then you can do buying one of these tough sheds.
“Do yourself a favor. Do a little bit of research on YouTube. Build yourself something.”
