BBC Breakfast fans blast Naga Munchetty for ‘appallingly rude’ interview as they rage ‘stop the aggression!’
BBC BREAKFAST fans have blasted Naga Munchetty for an ‘appalling rude’ interview.
The presenter and journalist, 48, was hosting this morning’s show alongside Charlie Stayt.
Both anchors brought viewers the latest news from across the country.
They reported how pupils are facing a drop in A-level grades today with the return to pre-pandemic marking.
During the show Naga introduced Education Secretary Gillian Keegan to discuss this year’s changes.
As the women spoke the conversation turned awkward at times as they clashed.
BBC Breakfast viewers noticed the exchange and took to X – formerly Twitter – to comment on the interview.
One blasted the presenter: “Is Naga Munchetty stupid? Twice she was told England had adjusted their exams the year BEFORE Wales and Northern Ireland! #StopTheAggressionNaga.”
A second wrote: “@BBCBreakfast why is Naga Munchetty so aggressive? I am so annoyed by her haranguing, interruptive and aggressive cross examination style this am with Gillian Keegan.”
“Both interviewee and interviewer were appalling. Why does Naga Munchetty think being rude is a good way to interview people?” said a third.
However, not all viewers were in agreement with some heaping praise on Naga for her stern approach.
One said: “Well done Naga, reckon you won that.”
While a second said: “It’s good to see Naga Munchetty holding an MP to account on #BBCBreakfast. All too often they get off the hook with bluster and rhetoric these days.”
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
