I’m a discount devil – 4 things you should never buy from Boots including the holiday staple that’s a waste of money
A DISCOUNT devil has revealed the four things you should never buy from Boots.
So if you want to save yourself some cash where possible, you’ll need to listen up.
Kathryn Leech, who is known on social media as Kat Saves, explained that the travel sets, mini toothpaste and small deodorants from Boots are a rip off.
Not only this, but she said that you can find make-up sponges much cheaper in Primark.
Posting online, the bargain hunter and shopping fan shared her clip with the caption “Four things to never buy from Boots, part two.”
First of all, Kat explained that the travel set, which is £4, but £3.60 for those with an Advantage card, is not worth the cash.
She noted: “These are only £1 in Primark!”
Not only this, but she also claimed that the mini toothpaste, which will set you back an eye-watering £1.50 for a tiny tube, is a waste of money.
The shopper shared: “Mini toothpaste is unnecessary. Put a small bit in a travel container.”
Similarly to this, when it comes to travel deodorant, which is £2.65 for a spray Sure bottle in Boots, Kat wrote: “Cheaper to buy a roll on deodorant that’s under 100ml.”
Finally, if you need a new make-up blending sponge, Kat advised shoppers to head to Primark instead of Boots.
The Boots Everyday blending sponge will set you back £1.50, or £1.35 for Advantage card members, but Kat concluded: “£1.35 for one sponge? Get a cheaper multipack in Primark.”
Kat shared her post on TikTok just 19 hours ago, under the username @katsaves, but it has quickly amassed 11,000 views.
One person said: “No lies were told.”
Another added: “Forget about Primark. Shein is life.”
A third commented: “The price of those travel minis in Boots has gone ridiculous omg.
“€3.50 for a mini shampoo here. Defo used to be €2 each and 3 for 2.”
To this, Kat replied: “I know it’s so expensive it’s ridiculous!”
Meanwhile, someone else advised: “Just ask a local dental practice for toothpaste samples – they have loads!”
