EastEnders’ Ryan actor Neil McDermott reveals wife has given birth to third baby and shares adorable first pic and name
EASTENDERS star Neil McDermott has revealed that his wife has given birth to their third baby.
The actor – who is best known for playing Ryan Malloy on the BBC One soap – shared the happy news with fans on Thursday.
Ryan, 42, took to social media to post photos of his adorable baby girl, who they named Maria Jolene.
In one photo, new mum Michelle Edwards could be seen tenderly holding their newborn from her hospital bed.
The theatre actor then shared photos of him by her bedside after the birth, and close-up snaps of the small tot.
Ryan also captured the precious moment that he introduced the newborn to her two older siblings.
Alongside the photos, he shared a heartwarming message, which read: “Welcome to the world.
“Maria Jolene McDermott. Born Tuesday at 4.18pm. 8 pound 3.
“Thank you Michelle for carrying our beautiful daughter and going through another pregnancy and all that entails.
“I don’t know how you do it.
“Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear DVT socks. I love you.
“Thanks for all the messages. We are home, happy and safe. And Baby number 3 is thriving.
“And Babies number 1 and 2 adore their baby sister.”
