I visited my local Wilko’s for the liquidation sales & left with two full bags – a cut-price lamp was a real highlight
THE news of its closing has left homeware fans everywhere devastated.
But savvy shoppers are also using Wilko’s demise as an opportunity to bag some bargains – with Sheley one of those people.
She took to YouTube to show what she’d nabbed from the store near her house, after leaving with two full bags of goodies.
First up, a gorgeous bronze lamp.
“This was on sale and it was going for £6.50, something ridiculous like that. How cute is this?” she gushed.
In fact, even the “different” lightbulb she got to go with the lamp was more expensive than the lamp itself.
“I’m going to put this in this room, where the Wifi hub is, and it’s going to look really nice because I’m going for that dark gold, black theme and think it’s going to look really, really pretty,” Sheley explained.
She also picked up a pot of paint, although accidentally grabbed exterior instead of the interior one she wanted.
Sheley continued the haul with a mini roller set, and an extra pack of rollers.
“I picked out this really cool gadget guys,” she then gushed.
“It’s a 15 in 1 retractable multi-tool. It is so cool.
“It comes in a pouch – I think I’m going to carry this with me all the time.
“It was like five pounds or something – it wasn’t even that expensive.
“Wow, you guys need to get that.”
Clearly influenced by things she’s seen on TikTok, Sheley grabbed a lint remover and a drain hair removal tool.
She also got an extension lead, and a “cool set of wicker baskets”.
“I don’t know where I’m going to use it, but I’m going to use it somewhere,” she said.
“It’s always good to have storage stuff like this, so you can quickly put stuff in there.”
“You can get a lot of cool stuff from Wilko you know,” Sheley said.
“It’s really sad it’s closing down.”
She concluded her haul with an extendable window mop, which she was planning to use to clean her kitchen and bathroom tiles.
