In the list of 39 candidates for Madhya Pradesh, five are women, 13 from Scheduled Tribes and eight from Scheduled Castes. The list of 21 candidates for Chhattisgarh comprises five women, 10 ST and one SC candidate. In an assembly of 90 seats, BJP won only 16 seats in 2018.
